A soul's plight

by Dark Shadows   Jan 22, 2012

Your love trapped in my soul.
I felt like a caged bird myself.
I nourished it with all my blood.
Now is the time to set you free
You do not belong to me.

This life,God's gift
A precious one.
A profound lesson learn't
I need to let go
Close this chapter of life.
Better late than never.

Not much left ahead
Make the most of it
No time to waste
Gracing His Will
Till my grave

Releasing you with a heavy heart.
Fly away my love
Live a content life
When you are gone
Will I learn to fly too?
I must,I will.
It's His Will.

It was really hard for me to read this, I recently lost my father.

A different poem but one of stellar quality. I loved the wording, the sad but determined feeling I got when reading it..
