Summertime

by xoxShorteexox   Jan 28, 2012

Chalk drawings of hearts, flowers and animals
line the sidewalks from the little neighbor girls,
echos of barking dogs and people mowing their
lawns with yellow patches and few flowers.

Kids playing basketball in the street moving
for every car; moms talking about gardening and
dads out barbequing; the air filled with the smells
of steaks and sparking fireworks just for fun.

The trees so green and the sun so bright; hoses
and waterballoon fights for a cooldown during
these high temperatures where ice cream is a must
and meteor showers shimmer on clear nights.

That's what I miss the most about summertime...
