Looking Glass (Etheree/Nonet)

by Larry Chamberlin   Jan 31, 2012

Here
Always
One with All
Not true - ever
Seeking Nirvana
Who is in the Mirror?
All of Life is Suffering
Existence is only Maya
Building a Raft for All the People
Forsaking pleasure - not a worthy goal
missing warm hearth of my family
feel compassion for all that lives
practicing self-denial
no one in the mirror
dwells in satori
transcendency
immanence
n e t i
gone.

NOTES: Maya is the Hindu Buddhist term meaning that all perceived reality is but an illusion. Neti is an exclusionary term that acknowledges no concept can explain the essence of the enlightened mind; literally: not this.

Oh how I do love this!

I love how you have started with Here and ended with Gone and then the words become opposite of each other.

Another formed poetry done awesomely by you!

I love how this poem makes me think of things. It is such a deep poem about life. The part where you have mentioned Maya - as in the Mayan Calendar. Makes me think of the end of the world which apparently is supposed to be this year lol

What I love is it also makes me what to challenge myself more and venture out in different types of poetry.

You can learn so much from each other and I've learnt a number of things from reading yours!!!
