Mankind's Choice

"The serpent
coils then strikes?
A fallacy.
Always mankind's choice".
yet snakes are still sneaky
though they no longer
have a voice.
Did Adam choose to
be smitten once by Eve?
It was never written
mankind was bitten
I believe
Eve was deceived and
Adam perceived the cost
of paradise lost.

    I really liked where you took this piece. It had been short to meet contest requirements but you gave it the resolution it deserved. Thank you for creating such a well considered conclusion. I would be happy to have I particularly like the internal rhyme.
