Weak Determination

by tainted melody   Feb 15, 2012

Determined not to fall back down,
to avoid your charm and humor.
no longer will you play my heart,
yet in my mind you linger.

You feel you have me bound,
I'm unable to break free,
one day I'll find real love,
though I'm sure you'd disagree.

You whisper those 3 sacred words,
like you know I can't resist.
Being held against my will,
my independance can't exist.

Determined just to walk away,
but a card is up your sleave.
You tell me of my grace and beauty,
now I can't seem to breathe.

I thought this was a good poem. I reminded me of playing with peoples hearts. Something like a heart you have to be so careful with not to break. Very fragile. But I liked how you described here that you don't want to be hurt. Nice write. :)

Wow. I. Thought. This was. Amazing! Every. Thought was expressed very nicely. I could actually feel the emotion in this poem and I loved the line. you seem to have the words that bind me so my independence can't exist and also liked the part where you described the card up his sleeve. Very nice job! This one is going in my favs! :)
