Mystic Star

by Maple Tree   Feb 18, 2012

Within my somber daydreams
I was born a mystic desire
placed within a diamond mine
lost forever, tainted among-st legends
timeless entity, falling endlessly
such as a star, deserted, abandoned
waiting for some soul to cast a wish
upon my hazel eyes, releasing me
from a curse that was born
the day I took my first breath....

Wow, :( It is hard to think such a beautiful and caring person could think this way about themselves and not see what the other see. it is sad that in this poem you imply that this has always been the case since you were born which is a heavy and dark burden to carry around especially for young shoulders.

It gives no detail about your life as a child or as it is now, just the emotions that you feel now and did then. It leaves the reader very curious as to what happened in your life in this " diamond mine " which you were abandoned in.

I think this was so powerfully written and I can imagine the words and feelings puring out from your pen and your heart in this one. Makes me want to have that magic wand to take away the hurt.

One of my favourites I have found for you and one I can relate to a lot.

    Well done.

Wow this is a sad poem. Awesome but sad. The idea that your life was cursed from the very first day, heartbreaking.

    Awesome though!

I was shaken by your words. They actually made my heart ache for the subject. She poured herself out to hope and because of the strength of her soul, shines brighter than any other!
I was brought wholly into her world with just a few lines. I am amazed how you carried me with you deeper and deeper. What perfection of word choice and flowing emotion. Wow 5/5!!!

Wow this is dark with pure emotions clouding the poem. Sad and lost but with a will to be found someday; succeeding in the realm of the world. You always have a way with words, very relatable and charming. Smooth flow and lovely crystal clear imagery. Definitely among my favs., thanks for sharing such deep but hopeful piece. You poetry prowess is marvelous, i admire your writings, they inspire me. Take care, blessings. :).
