Lost Time

by BrokenSoul LostHeart   Feb 19, 2012

I went on a journey deep in my mind
Over mountain, wet grass, where two streams divide
I wore myself to search for something I thought I'd never find
If I can not see it, does that make me blind?
I tracked on further without a soul by my side
My legs screaming for maybe a short, maybe a long, long rest
As my body grew agonized from the sores and the pain
I know I'd tried my best,
But with nothing to gain
I'd lost all hope
My lips grew wet with tears
It was more than I could cope
With all those wasted years
It was then I saw something I did not expect to see
I saw without sight,
My heart knew better than me
Like fearless wind piercing your body on a frosty winter day
I knew without a doubt my journey had ended
Now all my sorrows have scampered away
And I know my soul will be forever amended
