Skyclad

by Karla   Feb 22, 2012

Make music from my goodbye
as my hand unfurls and you learn
what is under the lashes of my eyes.
What I wear is unpronounceable.
I feel my feet moving from me
to a continent without stages or
monologues.

My margins are full of emotions.
I have just started crossing the third
bank of the river and something
reaches my end and stands up
inside of me.

Tomorrow started two hours ago.
You shall find comfort in the emptiness
of my space.

A beautiful piece of nicely penned words of yours that soothes the mind and comforts the body and soul. As i read, i could feel the affections consuming me in a pool of serenity. The poem is full of hope and the will to further ready the mindset before arrival of the day at hand. Inspiring read, i like the smooth flow that revolves in it. Your structure is fantastic, starting from how 'the music starts off in a farewell' to the subject, to the 'emotional margins', to the 'banks of the river' and finally the 'comfort in the emptiness of space'. Intriguing transitions, flowing together in their rhythm. I'm moved by this poem, i hail you dear. Be blessed. :).

I've seen so many amazing openings to poems lately,
and this is an example. What I love about this opening and what I got from it is the beautiful words as well as the meaning. In my mind I am picturing a person with their hands over their eyes crying. The music would obviously be such a sad heartbreaking song.

    Beautiful poem lovely!!!
