For You

by Rayne   Mar 1, 2012

For you, I'd write a symphony
But you'd only get an epiphany
Of how the bridge should sound
And how my strings should be wound

For you, I'd sing a song
But you'd only tell me I sung it wrong
And that my vocals don't harmonize
With a tune that doesn't compromise

For you, I'd paint a picture
But it would never be a fixture
Because you'd only get the notion
That it lacks too much emotion

For you, I'd recite this rhyme
But you'd say it's a waste of time
And that my words are dumb
And I will inspire no one

So for you, I sit in silence
For you, I am subsidence
For you, I am unwilling
And for you, I become unfeeling
