Don't

by Rayne   Aug 15, 2012

It's so quiet and vertigo is setting in
All I want is someone to say something
but the spectators all watch and hold their breath
As I stand up here on the edge of death
It's hard to see the faces in the crowd
I trust I have their attention now
It's getting harder to breath the air
i'll give them another minute to say they care
though it didn't take long to realize
i'm not ready to say good-bye
I don't want to do this, but I have no choice
one second to go, and I hear a voice
Two windows down, trying not to cry
He climbed the ledge with a tear in his eye
A single word spoken with such demand
A complete stranger, with an outstretched hand
finally shook me from my demented trance
and i decided to give this world a second chance
