The Black Rose

by Kenn   Mar 5, 2012

Darkness crept the horizon
Such vivid sight
Slowly fading, in despair
Memories that dwell and linger
Disdainfully haunts every inch
Standing alone, puzzled
In the lifeless wilderness

The distance between us
Far as Andromeda
Yearning the days I felt you
Frozen yesterday in youth's blithe
Drenched in deluded serenity
Enveloped in tragic sunder

This heart is pounding, to be yours
It cries, grieving of what is not to be
Remaining unseen in your eyes
Robbed of silence, wrecked by cold truth
Your emanating presence, untouched
As I sought a glimpse of you
