His ears only

by DirtRoadGirl   Mar 8, 2012

You swore to be his protector,
to never leave him lonely.
The lies tasted like sweet nectar,
beautiful to his ears only.

You swore to always have his back,
and catch him if should he fall.
You put his heart under attack,
and he had no clue at all.

You swore you loved him,
that you'd never walk away.
The thought of goodbye is dim,
because you told him you would stay.

So what am I supposed to say to him,
when you laugh at his unshed tears?
What am I supposed to tell him,
when you blame him for him fears?

What am I supposed to do for him,
when you leave again tonight?
How am I supposed to comfort him,
when you aime to destroy his might?

And what am I supposed to do,
and what am I supposed to say?
And how am I supposed to save him from you,
when he believes he can make you stay?

I want to destroy you,
to break you like your breaking me.
I love him so much more then you,
but he will never see.

Because you swore to be his protector,
to never leave him lonely.
The lies they taste like sweet nectar,
beautiful to his ears only.
