The Beast and The Beauty

by Glenn G   Mar 17, 2012

..... a lost love (The Beast)
I've loved yet have not felt loved
I gave but did not receive
I want yet do not have
I grieve but cannot mourn
I weep but cannot cry
My lips yearn but do not taste
My heart aches and will not heal

The death of every hope
Gives birth to a new dream

..... a dream (The Beauty)
The lady in my dream seems to good to be true
Her beautiful hair glistens with the reflection of the lights
Her deep dark eyes pierce my heart as if to say, "She's all that"
Her lips are full and ripe like two petals of a blossoming rose, eager to be touched and gently caressed but with a kiss
Her skin is as smooth as that of a newborn baby, blemish free
Her aura is intoxicating like a bottle of the world's finest champagne
Her beauty can only be compared to the rising of the sun as it gently pokes its head above the mountaintop
Her words are of wisdom unknown to a world that knows only ignorance
Her compassion is overlooked by people blinded by their own selfishness
Her kindness goes unanswered by those who love only themselves

In the presence of such a woman I find myself in awe and can only say,
"It's Just A Dream!"
