Diminished Sanctuary

by Innocent Fairy   Mar 24, 2012

What was sacred is now diminished
faded away but always comforted
within my love and the pain....
it lingers still

I see now that
the toughest walls
can be penetrated

Complete rage and
a doleful fence,
fueling the tank

My nightmares
haunt my existence
as my world crumbles
beneath my sanctuary

Ridiculed by mockery
as lucid echoes on
to my crushed heart

Rejecting my cries
I'm shrouded in despair
and I feel detached from my soul

Webs of memory
caught between desert cracks
and the winds whisper back
spreading news of my anguish

And my tears dry
in the heat of the sun,
my cherished is stolen

As I'm drained
too weak and
I can't fight back

Lost and confused,
lack of sleep
within my misery

Sorrowful weeps and I can't breath,
he is lost at seas and will be swept
upon heavens shores

Finally resting in peace
he'll be set free
