We Never Got That Far

Dedicated To Madie

I never got to see your face
so vibrant underneath the moon
and we never seem to find our place
mislaid two lovers needles and spoon
and again loves bitter kiss has stolen you away

the flowers sit decayed
as the roots of evil bring tears
the sharp side of the blade
hidden hearts spoiled for years
what was it you disobeyed
my cripple heart in all its fears
who it was whom you betrayed
as the emptiness appears
and at a loss for the words i never got to say

in joy and misery
we can be eternal
in hell and happiness
we can be infernal

i never got to taste your blood
so wicked from the pain
my heart rusted from the flood
of your endless hearts rain
we never got to dance beneath the stars
we never got that far
between silence suicidal guitars
we never got that far
