To Be Forever Yours

by Mello193   Mar 26, 2012

As I sit in the dark
i ponder the mysteries of love
and like the dark itself
just a paradigm from above
and yet i wonder of hearts and kisses
what makes two lovers whole
what heart knows the pieces it misses
a feeling of helplessness, without control
and now i ponder of beautiful ladies I've loved
how can one make love stay
trials, tribulations, pushed came to shoved
what evil has taken you away
must every heart be broken
a subtle glace at happiness
a bitter lie, another token
losing heart, the minds selfishness
i recall the times i held you tight
each night you felt alone
but still I'm left searching the night
for the one my heart has shown
a lie, a kiss placed upon the cheek
a fragrant crack on cardiac
a twisted hide and seek
left little time to react

I wonder now the song of pain
to grace our forlorn hope
a salty tear, a bloody stain
at the end of the rope
i will protect you
your lover strong and bold
for you, nothing i wont do
together growing old

as lovers go
and nights now dead
i long to feel your touch
a simple no
the poems read
i know it isn't much
just a testament in time
a vow i swore
of the time you were mine
to be forever yours

I wrote this in 2012 and yet it had no meaning. Just playing with rhyme. Maybe it's because I want to, but all I see is Joycelyn.
