I cant live without you

My sincerest apologies go out
to the one who cradles my heart
in the depths of his loving soul

Darling, I must admit
I didn't know, that by you warming my heart
it'd leave me with cold feet
Wanting to run away from all insecurities

My fingers ride the waves of your tears
that pour out in fear
of everything we built coming crashing down
Worry no more, sweetheart
For love has made me realize
we must trust and hang on
inspite of lingering doubts

No soldier could surpass the way you saved me
or given me this life you've chosen for us
So I ask-
What's a damsels life
without her rescuer as her groom?

My being alive is by your doing
The very breath you breathe
is what keeps me going daily
The day your breaths become shorter
or your courageous heart stops beating
mine will vanish into thin air

I hope by then its not too late to say,
I can't live without you

    i really liked thi stanza. Just shows you cant live without that person. The ending was amazing as well.

    Chels, This was a beautiful piece.

    I loved this line:
    My fingers ride the waves of your tears
    ^^Was just such a poetic way of describing wiping away someone's tears, gentle and sweet.

    My only critique is the title is way too cliche...

    Otherwise, a really lovely piece

    Oh what a beautiful love poem....

    now this brought me to tears.... powerful and loving, heartfelt ending-
