The Puzzle

The Puzzle

Nothing seems to fit, like a puzzle with pieces lost
Moving them all around completion at any cost
Forcing pieces into place, they become deformed and broken
Frustration again reigns king, words like venom spoken

Words that can't be taken back, leave wounds seeping ire
Hearts crack in half bleeding love that was required
Filling with resentment, blackening with mistrust
Leaving a heart to mend, hoping it won't combust

Extra pieces scattered ,odd and misplaced
Left around by friend's advice, your love to replace
Then as if by magic, the pieces start to morph
Now they all begin to fit as love has run its course

A miracle starts to take place; a smile is in view.
What happened to the sadness I haven't got a clue
Soon it all makes sense; new pieces begin to fit
Love will weave its magic, the puzzle starts to knit

I love your writing style...it has such flow and rythem, and i thought it was really interesting how you incorporated the comparison of love to a puzzle. And also made that comparison unique :)

TJ, this one was amazing. I *loved* the rhymes, so incredibly well penned.

The first two stanzas felt *so* familiar. And I loved the "happy ending". Great job.
