Comments : To Exist

Nik this was incredible. I will leave a better comment later this afternoon, but there was such grace and passion that I could feel in this piece. The ability, or just the chance, to exist with him is all you'd give.....Beautiful

I really loved this poem, I seem to be able to relate to it in one way, but I'd recommend you to change the title as it is not that eye-catchy and I have to admit, that this poem deserves to be read. I can actually picture you talking to the nightsky in hope to recieve some sort of reply because that talk you'd have would make you feel connected to that person in a way again though the connection probably never really broke. It really is a beautiful poem

I loved the last stanza, it really summed the piece up beautifully, The title is anoymous, such as it leaves much to the imagination at first glance, and I like the vagueness of that...making me curious.

I loved the wording, so soft and gentle, but with that tone of desperation, the longing I felt here was indescribable

    great piece

A beautiful piece my favorite part is the following

I was raised to be a dreamer,
    letting my mind wander from
    dusk til dawn. But dreams
    can't help me when you're
    the only one I want.

I found this so creative and its true dreams as wonderful as they can be are nothing compare to the feeling we get in reality when we are with the ones we want to be.

There is a sense of a deep sadness weaved with this love that wants so much to have and feel love once again. The yearning and the pain is felt within each stanza and the last stanza is especially very touching...take care.

    If only the moon could
    capture the sadness of
    solitude--
    then maybe we'd be one.

omg i loved this stanza! i can relate a lot. i have often thought the exact same thought. only you worded it just right. :)

it might be that i am listening to Tycho while i read, but everything was great. it was almost like a dream state.

What a heartbreakingly beautiful poem! I loved how the first sentence set the scene and I imagined myself there as well. The first stanza reminded me of the Lion King where Mufasa tells Simba that all those that die become stars and watch those that are living...Such a sad scene to paint.

    "Now that your heartbeat is
    quiet, do those secrets
    still linger like your essence?"
^I am blown away. Such a poetic way of expressing death and questioning if the spirit remains.

    "if only the moon could
    capture the sadness of
    solitude"
^Blown away once more...The lost love is now a star and you feel so alone without them that you wish the moon to capture that emotion and allow to linger among the one you love. Maybe my interpretation isn't quite what you had in mind but I love that this line set that image in my mind.

I loved how you let the last line stand on its own because it holds such a deep message. Wonderfully written.
