Love Story

by Yahnes   Apr 24, 2012

It was a story once ever told
The sweetness of each moment time did unfolds
Enchanted by the spell as romantics said it was
We both hold on to make the story true to last

It was a story so lovely to share
While in the stillness of the night we lay our feelings bare
As the days spent in oblivious smile to nothingness
How could I endure such lasting happiness

It was a story of sorrow & bliss
A pledge of loyalty that is sealed with a kiss
The tears we shed & the moments we'd almost given up
Awakens the memory, then smile & everything was patch up

It was a story once we both made
A role I always loved & wanted to be played
But now all I can do was to turn on the pages & reminisce
For the story left nothing but only memories

The past is always like that. There is nothing you can do about it, just remember the memories and think about "what if" and "i wish". I really like your poem. It unfolds nicely and is straight and direct.
