The King

by Yahnes   Apr 24, 2012

Never did hearken woes of the heart
In desolation creeps the crown of longing
Queries in solitude, affrays in my head
Wandering for reply & erudition
...for uncertainties to fill

A pseudo was I
Dancing blissfully in the beat of solemn music
A petty smile that surrogates the tedious soul
Like the glance of spark amidst dire seasons,
As the glitter in the mud

Allegorical thought whispered penetrate ones being
A saccharine lullaby broke the spell
Shed the rain in quiet mourn
Bestowed such ostensible & steadfast love
A knight in shining armor?
A masquerade?
No, the king unseated on the throne

A hymn of captivating caress
Tremble the soul though numb
Trace the path out of monotonous darkness
Twilight in shadows of despair

Vivid trails took these barefooted steps to pilgrimage
The haunting fear to which I succumb
Now vanished in divine profoundness
Sentiments of unending exalt applauded within the hopeful heart
As I led to the throne of my King's paradise
