Remember me

by Mattias Ostling   May 8, 2012

I see you every day
and I dream of you
every night.
Your golden hair, like
the sunrise, outshines the
moon at night - precious
like starlight.
Your eyes, they shine like
radiant stars in the black of
night.

They say beauty is subjective,
but I find it impossible to believe
that anyone could ever see you
as less than a goddess walking
the Earth

I cannot help wondering
what you think of me.
Do you see me, when I'm
absent?
Do you hear me, when you're
asleep?

Know that I'd be happy
if I were nothing more than
the dust on the floor within
the mansion of your thoughts.

    "Yourgolden hair, like

---I'm particularly fond of this part. Really like the simile here.
And the ending was unexpected, for me. Nicely done

This is such a beautiful poem. I really like the way you have described your feelings for this person. I love the fact that you see her the way you do and you think that everyone will see her the same way, no matter what she looks like or is. I think that just shows how much affection you have for her.

    Beautiful poem.

Sounds like a secret admirer. Does her eyes
see what you see? Does she think of of you while absent. Only one way to find out,
    go and ask 5/5
