Not what love's about

by Sarah Christine   Jun 27, 2004

Alone in the world
I sit and cry,
your not here
was everything a lie?
Waiting by the phone,
day in and out
I can't live like this,
not what a relationships about,
yet I hold on,
linger to every word spoken,
wanting so much,
waiting for a heart broken.
Tell me that I am wrong,
in the was that I feel.
Tell me that you need me,
and that this love is real.
Can't you see
that this heart of mine
is for you to take,
tell me what you want
for I don't want to ache.
I know that we are together
even though you're far away,
my heart dreams of only you,
your the reason I breathe each day.
All my nights are getting colder,
when is this forsaken feeling
going to be over?
I just want you to love me
for who I am,
inside and out,
for you to act differently
then what you say, thats,
not what love's about.
