If only

by Sarah Christine   Nov 20, 2006

If I could believe
that you were here again,
I'd hold you so tight,
my embrace would never end.
If I could have just one more moment,
one minute,
of any given day,
I'd tell you how much you mean to me,
in any possible way.
If I could hear your laugh
just for once more,
my fears would melt like rain,
my heart wouldn't be so sore.
If you could tell me you love me
to hear those words once again,
so much I would cherish them,
knowing that this was the end.
But God called you home,
from this place you had to leave,
how I wish you were here,
oh, if only I could believe.
I will smile upon the times
we shared in this world together,
nothing can take them away,
memories are forever.
Don't be sad for me,
for I know your watching from above,
you gave me the greatest gift of all,
you gave me all your love.
Now it's time to say goodbye,
from this world you're set free,
but there's a part of you
that still lives on,
that part will always live in me.

R.I.P Daddy . I'll love you always
