Rain, My Mirror

by Lofallenve   May 14, 2012

Has not the sky been violated enough by these
dreary nebulosities that seems to taint mine own soul?
Upon these clouds, these makers of the heaven's tears,
Abolishment, I curse upon thou, I bite my thumb at thou.
I bid you take thou's darkness, take thou's drowning words,
upon once where thou had first developed the sense of
awashing the atrocities of heaven's spears, that strike deep!
I demand thou to the place in which thou were so forcefully
birthed into this world, a world known better without thou.
A curse upon thou's filth! A curse upon thou's only existence.
Mine own person will not be bothered with thou's presence,
do bid my command, do obey! Obey mine own words!
Be gone with thee! Mine self has nothing left to do with thee.
For your existence what need I of you?
Thou only casts the blue into mine own eyes,
Thou only drenches mine own face with the dreary
Upon which thou rapes upon the sky, upon this very earth,
in which mine own feet find themselves stumbling.
Must this escape I once sought for so fervently,
must resemble mine own troubles that brew from inside?
With wishes of an untainted cobalt sky, a sight that ne'er
fails to drive away mine own inner turmoil,
must it be? Must this very solitude, this very haven I once sought,
have changed it's face to the one my self sought escape?
Doth thou now understand? Doth thou now heed the words in
which I scream so violently towards your ever seeing sky?
Dreary nebulosities, dampener of my already soaked spirit,
Why must thou choose on this day, of all days left in this world,
To mimic mine own self-pity, mine own self-torment.
Why must thou act as the very mirror in which with these
very hands, the ones that curse thee, broke the very mirror,
that reflected the very image thou presents me with?
I shan't be granted the gift of another haven,
Drench mine self with your worst, down pour your words,
obscure this pathetic shell of a man, destroy if thou must.
Weariness swims through my veins, standing is for naught,
Rain down upon mine self, mine very own tears, acid if they be!
Once thou has finished, make adieu, leave mine own self,
arms once for grace, now burdened by the anguish.
Mine arms wrapped around mine feeble body, a sad knot.

I loved the rhymes here and there, the Shakespearian usage of wrds. Really enticing and captivating!
This is a winner the next week, I bet you.
I felt as if I am reading one of those plays that leave you completely speechless... I didn't expect to be as amazed when I read the title.

'Must this very solitude, this very haven I once sought,
have changed it's face to the one my self sought escape?'

This one spoke of solitude, of being lost. I just loved how you put this. Pure!
I just don't think 'adieu' needs a capitalized 'a'? You might think of fixing it. ;)

Really, really loved the read and will analyze it later. :)
