Vampire Myth

Let me start by first saying this poem is really interesting to read.

Do vampires really exist
For it is what I wish

A creature of the Dark
A creature of the night...

Loved your introduction with the question like pulling into your inquisition so we also get to feel how you feel. Your description of vampires is wonderful, not too much, just simple and with straight forward English, very good work.

It is my obsession,
the twinkle in my eye
but I never knew why...

You just want to find out the truth about these creatures, if they are real or not. It has become your obsession, something you can not control till you find out the truth.

I know it from movies
crave the romance like the books
but it dosen't truely follow that path..

Your knowledge of vampires is only limited to movies and books. "Truly" has been misspelled in line 3 of this stanza, just a minor thing though.

A sliver of truth,
beyond the shadows,
disguised in lies

My yearning grows cold
but the fire, it burns...

Your desire fades at times but you still have that fire within you that wont let you stop in trying to find out about them.

I am drawn,
mesmerized by this
For it could be
that they truely exist...

Again. "Truly" has been misspelled. You are mesmerized by them because even if you might contradict yourself, some part of you believes that they do exist....

I really enjoyed this piece and its content. It was something new to me, great work.

This is a very interesting poem. The Vampire has become very popular recently because of Twilight and everything. In my opinion they overdid Twilight extremely, but maybe you like that type of thing :)

I like how you wrote about it and how you expressed your liking of the Vampire Myth. You did it in such a plain way that it put a smile of my face. I also like the your structure-you rhymed in a few of the stanzas and then you went to free style. At least that is what it seems to me, but I might be completely wrong. However, I really like the poem :)
