Little Lost Bird

by A Poets Handwriting aka ALISHA   Jun 1, 2012

Born to be free; to soar high in the sky
Born for happiness, and not simply to cry

Feel trapped behind bars; don't know escape
Caught and alone, no sounds through duct-tape
Wish I could shout; that I could fly to freedom
But I'm lost within the walls of your kingdom

I think of little else but those caged birds
My mind wanders to escape but its absurd!

I have no one to talk to; no one to help me
I stretch to view the sky, there's nothing to see
No blue skies are within sight; I'm so alone
Rattle the bars; it makes me feel more alone

Feel like a bird with broken wings, in despair
Remember the happiness of the skies and air

But my predicament doesn't allow being free
Search and search; but there's no way to flee
I'm just a little lost bird with its wings clipped
Trapped and locked up; alone and unequipped

Caged and alone, there's no joy in which to bring
Just a little lost bird that has lost the will to sing

This is so sad, the little lost bird feels alone, and doesn't see any blue skies within the sight.
Though, the sun always comes out and also there are more birds that fly and fly in the sky, so perchance, some day not too far away that little lost bird might find some more birds lurking within his/her sight and if he/she gives some time for her/his wings to heal then he/she can open her/his wings to fly and join them. Though, the bird is caged, :( .. but i'm guessing that if it's caged then it has always been like that ever since she/he was born so she just needs to meet some more birds to finally have a will to sing. the little bird might need some sunlight too.

I enjoyed some rhymes, and also the content of this piece, It had me thinking and forgive me for my babble. 5/5
