Going through Hell

by dragons4eva   Jun 5, 2012

Everyday we have troubles and hardships. People struggle to get through the basic troubles life has to give. We feel as if our lives are bad and forget to think what is important in life.

Sometimes people wonder "why is life so unfair?". "Why do bad things happen to good people and bad people get a way with things?" "Why do little kids end up being in the most evil situations such as famine and war?"

People also seem to ask "Where is God in all of this? If he is so powerful and wise why doesn't he come in and stop bad things from happening?".

An interesting quote i found from a soldier from WWII.

"And When he gets to heaven,
To Saint Peter he will tell;
One more soldier reporting, sir.
I've served my time in Hell!"

PFC. James A. Donahue, USMC. 1st Marine Division, H Company, 2nd. Battalion, 1st. Regiment

Although a soldiers poem i believe it can relate to our daily lives. Sometimes people go through "Hell on earth" everyday! Some lose faith or despair and break down altogether. Whether it be wearing an army helmet or in your own home!

You might ask me if i am anti religious or don't believe in God? Well none of the two...because i believe if someone has gone through "hell on earth"...it means a lot of people deserve to get into the gates of heaven!

    Very true... In the rough times we often feel like God has left us or abandoned us... the hard times blinds us from what is really infront of us.
