Lonely

by Jeff Weiner   Jun 20, 2012

Lonely is a place that I visit
When depression is a sunny day,
Where darkness sees a smile
And snails push me away,

Happy is a character fault
Shown only in a crowd,
Frowning alone on the outside
While screaming silently out loud,

Love is a dream of the weak
Shown in the sleep of the strong,
Crying for meaningless attention
Not caring if its wrong,

Returning to empathy and peace
In my own company, happy to sit,
Realizing that every now and then
Lonely is just a place that I visit
