The Path

by My Other Side   Jun 26, 2012

Why the tears may fall, we can't always say
Down the cheeks, they are on their way
The first one runs uphill, from within the heart
Where the tear falls we don't know, but it may.

Founded not in sorrow, but that counts too
A tear holds the emotions of life, tis true.
No one can say exactly how it got it's start,
But when they stop, then begins a sense of renew.

Through the years we've seen the sky turn grey
Let each night darken, bring to us what it may
For behind those clouds is a light, bright and stark...
Chasing away the dark, empowering a brand new day.

Let the tears fall, We shall count each one as joy
Knowing, there comes an end to their timeless deploy
Though from the heart they embark, leaving their mark,
Soon then friend, very soon, upon the floor they will lay.
