Foerver Silent

by My Other Side   Feb 16, 2012

At times my not knowing protects me
yet alienates me from myself

This absence from all that I thought I knew
defines me, but
...Sets me upon a wheel that will not turn.

How may I find the question
to that which cannot be answered?
though stilled by this thought
I must keep seeking

In all of the days I have lived and
breathed, I gained nothing.
Yet ...I feel as if I know everything

And the truth...
What is the truth?
That which I am told
Learned
Experienced

The truth is beyond my comprehension
Waiting
Unfounded
Unknown

And too complex for simple minds
Even my own.
Yet still,
...I seek it

Even in the quietness of my heart I quest for it
Always wondering
How
Why
When

In all of my hopes,
I may never know
...Yet in that is wisdom

And it leaves me... forever silent.

I like the message in it. I caught myself wondering what the question would have been :) I loved it!

Loved the message, but you can work a bit on the layout. Cropping up some of the lines so each stanza doesn't have a space inbetween would do a lot to making it less of a chore to read. And perhaps cutting down some on the mass punctuation, here and there and it's great, but with such repitition its meaning is easily lost.
