Too Angry To Sleep

by Thomas   Jul 9, 2012

My eyes won't close
My mind wheels won't stop spinning
My thoughts darker than crows
My demons just won't stop winning

Cause I'm too angry
too angry to sleep
It's probably cause
my fears lie too deep

In this factory called life
I'm forced to be happy
Even though I know
my life is crappy

I'm too angry
too angry to sleep
This fragile hope
I just won't keep

Hope for me is hopeless
cause it's a throwaway object
Not surprising since it was designed
for a society's reject

I will be too angry
too angry to sleep
Cause I'm like
all them other sheep

Whenever I'm angry, sleep is nowhere to be found. My mind races constantly as I lay there, hating whatever I'm pissed at. I think it's human nature to do that, though... it keeps us up because it bothers us.
You captured that in this poem, great job.

Often anger blinds us from the truth.
The fear of life we all have experienced
at some point. You are only human, you will
make mistakes. Never give up hope.
You are your own person, special and unique
in your own way. Remain true to yourself
and don't ever change for anybody
