Love and Rain

by Khalid M Darwish   Jul 10, 2012

Afraid it'll rain when you're not with me!
Since you left I became upset with rain
Winter used to cover me with its warm coat
So I don't have to be worried of coldness or tedium
The wind howl behind my window
for which you whisper: hold! Here's my hair!
Now I sit and rains are executing me
on my arm, over my face and on my back!
So no one will defend me
O the Traveler
Like a pigeon between eye and eyesight
How do I erase you from my memory cards
where You are in the heart like engraving on stone?
I love you, You, who's housing my blood
wherever you be in China
or on the Moon
