Tree of Euphoria

by Maple Tree   Jul 20, 2012

I once climbed your
humongous branches,
consumed with euphoric
smells of pine, mixed
within rich, and rugged
roots-

Towering upon the highest
peak, plummeting, teasing
my sensuality, with thoughts
of bathing amongst a rain
dripped haven.

Allow me to travel
from limb to limb
as a ballerina
dances upon
perky toes,

I'm your queen, Oh Mighty one-
hold me closer, as your leaves
become my blanketed rhapsody
of woodland dreams....

I have a fear of heights so when I used to climb trees it wasn't very high lol I admire that you can!

Oh I love your nature poems, they seem to put a peaceful feeling and warmness in my heart.

You write such amazing poems about nature, especially how you portray tree's. You should write a book of your nature poems, they deserve to be shared wider.

My favourite part of this was the ballerina on her toes.... I thought this was such a unique thing to add into a nature poem.

    Nice work. x
