Stream of Consciousness at 1 a.m

I appreciate a round of musical chairs,
sitting unembarrassedly on the edge
of your asymmetric truth, allowing you
to underestimate my astigmatic vision

You forgot I grew up in the shadows,
I forgot you were my favourite ghost.
In the absence of passionate respect
I prefer interior monologues.

I was definitely intrigued by the 1st stanza. It looks so clean and fit! :)

But I definitely preferred the 2nd stanza more because it is perfectly worded, and the subtle rhyming between ghosts & monologue just added some sugar!

Lovely content; your imagery is always invincible.

^ The author has mentioned asymmetric truth and astigmatic vision. Symmetry means a proportionate design. The same quality of reflection, facing each other or around the axis. Perhaps it could mean that the truth is individual to the author with respect to other observers. Else the author does not perceive the truth being fed to him/her because of poor vision.

You forgot I grew up in the shadows,
I forgot you were my favourite ghost.
In the absence of passionate respect
    I prefer interior monologues.

^ Here the author states that he/she prefers to listen to the voice inside. Most probably his/her inner conscience, for it is the single point of intersection of emotions and spirituality. The fabricated convincing is less pleasing.

I could be wrong with the interpretation. I've been off my game lately.

    Very well written.
