Divinity

by Karla   Jul 30, 2012

When I raised my hands,
she came tenderly, bathing me
in light and scents of yesterdays,
as the drum expanded the night
into mandalas, seeding the stars
with majestic words.

Diana and Selene
drew down the Moon
and gave me her radiance,
dressing infinity, touching
the sands of the universe
and every moving and unmoving
creation with kindness.

Life burst into being,
searing my divine eyes forever:
I was blessed.

What a beautiful and thoughtful poem. You definitely have a gift with words. My favorite:

    drew down the Moon
    and gave me her radiance,
    dressing infinity, touching
    the sands of the universe

"sands of the universe," I never would have thought to pair those together...really outstanding my friend! I'm not Wiccan but I did enjoy this.
