The end

by Krysten   Aug 2, 2012

An explosion of emotion
A dark storm rolling in
Watching my world crumble
And fall apart again

Retreat into my shell
Hide the pain away
Try and save my tears
To cry another day

Pretend to be okay
As the end draws near
Praying that it won't happen
Exactly
As
I
Fear

This was well written, the rhymes really worked and they didn't sound force.

I was a bit uncertain in this :

    "and fall apart again"

I think " falling apart again" will sound better..
    Just a suggestion.

I have a hard time write rhymes but you did it with ease. The flow of the poem is really nice and the rhymes added a melody.

The ending with fear was also really good. Is this a type of form of poetry? if it is, it will be nice if you add a note at the end. If it's not, it doesn't matter this was well written.

I have been where you are now and no doubt I will revisit that place again unfortunately as we all will. Its a hard topic to discuss, harder to write about. I thought it emotionally charged and painfully true. I cannot find anything I would change ( and I read it 3 times). I do suggest you keep writing not just through the hard stuff but the everyday stuff as well. Try to find the poetry in all things.
Also since I am new could you please read a few of mine? I see alot of people visit but nobody rates or advises, that's really frustrating. Any that strike your fancy. Many thanks and I will visit you again. :)

What type of poetry is this? this is nicely written simple yet I can feel the emotion that your piece is trying to portray as a matter of fact it is what I'm currently feeling right now.
