Ever After

by Larry Chamberlin   Aug 18, 2012

Love is a prime of clashin':
constantly changing expectations
robbed of fulfillment
as each party balances
the pros of sacrifice
against the cons of harmony.

Larry- This was cute and made me giggle.. It also has a deeper meaning.. My interpretaion of this piece is that love does clash, and it can become chaotic... powerful and fun poem.. I enjoyed this piece!

typo: You have the word "the" written twice.

I do this often... my fingers type fast as well and I double word things from time to time :-)

This is wise, and true. But that's something we already know about you...

I love the inner rhyme, not sure if it was intended but really it flowed so well, and the poem is easy on the ears if recited with a loud voice, the way I read poems XD

Then comes the word choice, although you chose it to be a funny piece, that did not make you underestimate the quality of the poem, so stilll used great word of choice, and united them together with a very nice coherent bond, such as the following lines:

    robbed of fulfillment

    ^ so beautifully thought of..

    the pros of sacrifice
against the the cons of harmony.

    how beautiful, Larry.

    Amazing, keep the great work;
    hats off

EDIT: Ya and, you know where I felt a sense of irony...i may be wrong, but between the title and the concept of the poem, ever after, as if LASTING forever, when you mentioned in the poem bout crashin, and being out of expectation.

anyway, all your poems makes me think
