Riots really?

by Lily Ashford   Sep 2, 2012

I wrote this about the 2011 riots in England

The drums start beating
As the music begins to rise
The song of a nation
With to many broken ties

The children are restless
The adults are cold
And in the midst of chaos
The police have lost their hold

People are blaming the government
And true they have some play
But who are the ones out there
Who choose to use their day

Waking up thinking RIOT
Their day to make a sound
Not words but just noise
Like a wild pack of hounds

A nation that is broken
By those who do not care
That they throwing tantrums
Someone give them a teddy bear
