Like the Flowing River Lyrical Story

by Larry Chamberlin & Tara Kay   Sep 2, 2012

Once upon a time I was lost in the woods and I stopped by a flowing river. I pondered on whether to pick a diamond daisy or take a sip from the crystal water that glittered with the sun.

Chill aura soothed me while I trod through the moist earth; my soul got lost in the unbounded beauty of the crystal clear waters that flowed under the brightening reflections of the sun like a fascade of glittering diamonds lightning the path of my destiny.

What beneficial angel guided me through the forest maze to find this haven? Enriched with the ever beaming sunshine, that emited a glaring energy upon the diverse nature lovers.

Wild lilies bloomed amongst the gently flowing stream. They sparkled and shone, their radiance uplifting and one of a kind. Their fragrance unraveled a journey within, One that opened up and cleared all the cobwebbed doors my soul had endured.

No more hesitation, no more standing transfixed by the beauty. I stripped down to my underwear and dove head first into the cold refreshing river. Spluttering in the chill, my head broke the surface and I gasped in surprise. Yet, in the bright sun and the lazy current, I got used to the water quickly.

Whilst floating lazily within the river's soft-flowing currents, I spied movement across the sparkling waters from the corner of my eye.
Shivers covered my body from head to toe as I began to realize I was not alone, in this magnificent paradise, giving me the feeling that something dark wallows deep within its core.

But in the moment, I felt safe, at peace with beauty, transfixed on the cleansing of my soul, as I flowed, still, with the tranquility of this river...
and the others.
