Abu

by Thomas   Sep 7, 2012

Abu, my brother
different in genes and color
the distance may be great
but it's getting smaller

Our language is different
but our message the same
not in this for money
not in this for fame

Just trying to reach
people's minds and hearts
cause we feel and know
that's where it all starts

Praying and hoping
for people to be truly free
we only have peace and happiness
in the world that we foresee

So let us keep writing
keep spitting and rhyme
so that one day
we can meet in a free Palestine

Adored this poem, such a strong bond which proves it is what is inside people that counts, and that there are many many good people still in the world, and they make up for the bad ones.
    Excellent poem.

This is lovely. I enjoyed the rhymes, and the ending was just amazing. I could just hear this being sung, orr rapped. :)
One of the best rhyming and touching pieces I've read in a while.
I think we need to see such poems in the front page some time. Will nominate if Istill can on Monday. Keep writing,

    Amaaazing Thomas, just amazing.

Remember I once commented on one of your pieces and told you that the way you write reminds me of someone? Well that someone is Rabea (One Man Can).
You kinda write with the same passion and deliver those same messages as him.

I knew he would love this piece, you penned it perfectly!

    Keep on writing T
