Message

This message goes out
to the slums and the ghettos
coming straight from
the white people infested suburbs

I'm not declaring that I know
what struggles you go through
cause that would be lying
and I'm not a politician yet

But I imagine your life is hard
getting discriminated and spit on
from the streets that you walk on
to the shabby apartments you inhabit

Don't let white people tell you
that you'll amount to nothing
Cause you have your inner strength and potential
that will guide and build you

Gangbanging and drug slinging
is only a way straight to jail
It's devised by white people
so that you will fail

It's to keep you down
and have you killing each other
to make money of minorities
hurting each other

So evade the rat trap
listen and go to school
stay there and sharpen your tools
write instead of making that gun clap

The most greatest poems to my hearts are the ones that speak of a greater message! Dedicated for the greater good of a community and here you talk about the ghettos and I need to stress on this

In some places police brutality isn't even half as nice! It makes the hoods look like it's like paradise

Anyhow it's clear to me T that you're well aware of the injustice that is taking place almost everywhere in this edged up world
And the fact that you chose to dedicate your time to Write about it brings a smile to my face
For now I know there are people that will fight off and shake away the ignorance
    You make me proud bro
    And you better keep spitting
For I truly am getting addicted to these poems

This can be sung and contains a powrful message
    5/5 and respect

    Powerful stuff here!

I love the line about not being a liar and that you're not a politician yet. That was brilliant!

A really great message. So many kids turn to gangs because it's all they know around where they live... they think it's their only option. Their fathers, brothers, uncles, cousins are in gangs and pressure them in...as well as their friends/peers. It's sad...and I wish more would wise up and just learn to say no, I'm better than that. I will express my feelings another way. Writing, art, music, sports... there are plenty of other hobbies they can do...as well as go to school and actually try to study and make good grades. Plenty of people do it everyday, they make an example in their community that they will not be just another gang member, they rose above the negativity and became somebody.

This is poem is a great source of motivation for those who join gangs. Really, it's better to write everything out and letting it out via writing it.

If only kids and more people will do that.

Well done, I like a lot more the stanzas towards the end of the poem.
