Princess

by Lost Soul   Sep 20, 2012

The first time that I saw you
I swear it was a dream,
and even though I pinched
myself, it could not awaken me.
Golden flowers in your hair,
eyes so bright there
piercing stare.

Long red locks enchanted
lips, longing for a single
kiss. Your porcelain skin,
it makes me grovel, so soft
and smooth just like a doll.

Silhouettes of dancing shadows
follow us through wind swept
meadows. Walking with you hand
in hand, my knees feel like two
rubber bands. Knowing I could
be your man if only I could have
the chance.

I'll love you for eternity, I
promise you I'll never leave.
Through all the smiles
and all the fears, always there
to dry your tears.

You are my princess can't
you see, it's you who means the
world to me. My one true love
I must admit.... Try on this
glass slipper,

oh look it fits.

In my view this is really a very sweet poem as it is coming from the true feelings of your heart.

Very nice, I hope your princess gets to read this,

1 typo last stanza either 'you are' or 'you're'

nice flow and a real sense of love throughout.

What a beautiful and elegant rhyme piece! Very pretty! I adore the fairy tale message but I also admire the simplicity of this poem as well... its sweet and romantic, very nice!
