Haunting

by Chelsey & Maple Tree   Sep 22, 2012

It doesn't matter what poems I read,
or the motion of the music I hear,
truth be told, these damn tears
are still trickling down my face.

Its not often that melody
can't hush my whimpers
or words can't ease my
scattered mind. Yet tonight,
I am plagued.

Overwhelming waves of sorrow
has devoured each thought,
wishing I could run away, get lost.
The ghosts haunt me tonight.

I use to laugh at their white faces
and the way they hid in shadows,
but in this moment, I am one of them.
Invisible to the fearless, pale
and taunting to the wicked.

Scythed emotions provoke my dreams
upon a midnight dance of the dead.
I'll become the hunter of the weak,
for I have nothing left but darkness.

Forgive me, all of those who look for me.
I have now surrendered unto evil acts
because my mind has become a resting place
for spirits to snore revoltingly.

Wow you two. What can I say except just wow?

The flow of this was amazing since it was a collab and it blended as if it only had one author - that is talent! Also loved the darkness of it and the way you drew me in with your words.

    Love it xx
