Love Not Forgotten

by Robert   Oct 2, 2012

Shaking in the face of winter
I bundle up and find my shelter
Inside my cabin where no one can hinder
I was trapped, alone, and began to belter

In the midst of time I had to think
A solution at best, what best may be
For if I did nothing I had to believe
That someone or something may come save me

Weeks had past, and there was nothing to eat
My time was running low, As I was numb to my feet
When suddenly a Noise came from beyond
The log cabin door, as I tried to respond

It was my wife, the one I love
Who brings me warmth that fits like a glove
With no more worries and nothing to fear
All I could say was I love you dear.
