The world

by Robert   Dec 23, 2013

Time tell's me what can't be seen
As I try to listen to everything around me
From the whistle of a train getting ready to leave
To the time ticket of worker's finally getting relieved

The day's are long, but our meetings last a moment
We shake hands, and hug in the seconds we pass by
Saying hello, and how are you is but a simple formality
Yet still it becomes a simple, and well known every day triviality

Like the sun in the sky, and water in the sea
It's common sense to us, and pretty much indefinite
To some though it's considered amazing, and yet a mystery
For we still grow old and hunger for anything we want to believe

Oh yeah, the last stanza has much truth.
Somethings are considered amazing yet a mystery while others aren't, I guess that's just the way the world works..

I also like the first stanza, and the hello being as simple formality.. Well written.

I love this so much :))

I love the imagery of the first verse... the train, the tickets ... just simply awesome :))

The second verse... I can feel a longing... The time frames make the scenes more vulnerable and great :))

I love the last verse... It's very true :)) The world has its own ways of making us know all the thing we must learn... It can be in a meeting or the things around us :)) Great job :)) Well-written :)) 5/5
