Seasonal Fruits

by Yakori bint Muhammed   Oct 3, 2012

29th September 2012.

Walking in the rain in circles,
the moistness from the soil smiles,
into my skin absorbing the cool it glimmers.

The freshness it exudes wraps my soul,
clouding its gushing drizzle upon me,
to embrace me in a shimmer of fog.

Sunshine stole my path to the shore,
as rain crept away welcoming a flash,
blinding my eyes in this tropic.

The wildness beams a sizzling heat into me,
grilling my facade; turning me weary,
resting upon a trunk, the oceans dance calls on me.

Approaching the blue; waves jump about,
as the flowers sway unanimously,
to the winds parley with spring.

My legs immersed in jubilee of the water,
I can see the sea shells aura coloring me,
it beseechs me to adore its rare nature.

I've walked fiery-misty miles,
in search of autumns breeze,
to attune my being to its crackling breath.

Carving lines through my withering face,
rustle of leaves wash away my wishes,
to gather moments of gusty peace.

A discourse with my airy-hot water puffs natures lover.

I can't express the feelings that ran through my mind within this beautiful nature poem. I was swept away into a wonderland of words! Writing about the seasonal fruits of nature.... Love the title! It always intrigues me how creative writers can be when describing nature and Yakori really took me on a fun and enchanting nature adventure. Very soothing piece!!

I love poems about nature, when they're done well. This poem did not disappoint, It gave off a good sense of imagery and for the most part I could imagine/feel what was being said in the poem. I enjoyed reading this a lot, good piece.
