Intoxcated

by Alanis   Oct 3, 2012

The intoxicating smell filled my nasal
with pleasant smells. The screaming
of a disturbed household faded and
was replaced with a surrendered
Silence. My messy room was no
longer my surrounding scene.
It all faded as if I was Dorothy and I
tapped my satin red, sparkling shoes
Together. I was taken to a flower garden
Among strangers, I got confused glares
And disputing looks. My smile couldn't
deny my sudden happyness. I looked
Insane or like a chesure cat of some sort

Before I knew it I was transferred back to my
Room as images began to blur and the sound
of angry people returned. I took another sniff
Without hesitating and was relieved to see and
Hear everything fade again. I was transported
To a candy store and began to stuff my eager
Mouth. Chocolate, jelly bean delight. The images
Faded again but this time I was on my back struggling
To breathe and gave way to my insanity as the pleasentness
Was to much and the world faded to a distant gray.

Yes, the imagery here is amazing. The story is also very good. There were just a few typographical errors I spotted that I thought I'd mention: The title is missing an I (intoxIcated), "My smile couldn't
deny my sudden happyness." -- happiness, "I looked Insane or like a chesure cat of some sort" -- cheshire "the pleasentness" -- pleasantness "Was to much" -- too
Other than that, this is very well written. Enjoyed it very much.
