The Colour M

by Alanis   Aug 30, 2021

Colour green
Heavy head
Bludgeoned heart.
Oh how memories tear at the stitches of existence, infecting me with heartache.

Colour blue
Uninspired soul
Dense bones
Oh how these memories have curdled motivation. How they have made peeling myself out of bed an accomplishment.

Colour indigo
Lackluster mind
Sunken eyes
Oh how these memories stick to my teeth with each bite I take. How they dot the freckles on my skin and grow with the hairs on my head.

Oh how the memories will carry me to the grave. How they will dissolved into dust.
