Marlene

by Maple Tree   Nov 19, 2012

Her face wore a blizzard
as the curtain bid adieu-
agony swiftly cascaded,
while the aura light faded
into the night.

A gasp of silence,
as the quake of
a hurried
mist, hushed the
canopy below,
swollen eyes awake
to loving shadows.

Marlene, my sweet Marlene,
weep upon my shoulder love-

I'll comfort you in the hour
of twilight and confusing
thunder, as the strangers
remove you from my arms.

Be still,
the pain shall pass
as dusk falls beneath
your memory,
my smile will
always be at the foot
of your bed...

~Dedicated to my Sweet Marlene,
a loving woman with early
onset of Alzheimer's.

This is really sad and touching. Alzheimer is a cruel disease I hate it:/

You words said a lot, and they showed too how a nice person you are. Great job:)
